In light of my previus post here about the startup scene in Vienna, I came across this site recently called Metalab. It's some sort of technological innovation collective based in Vienna.
According to them;
"The Metalab is a non-profit Innovation- and Startup-Center in Vienna's first district - right next to the city hall. It offers space for free exchange of information, and collaboration between technical-creative Enthusiasts, Hackers and Founders. The Lab is dedicated to providing Infrastructure for projects and offers a physical space for interested people from the wide fields of IT, new media, and hacker culture."
This is a very interesting collective, I'll certainly pop by there when I get a chance. This does give me hope that there is a bouyant startup scene in Vienna.
